Mary Thiessen

Our mom, Mary Thies­sen (nee Bosch­man), was born near Wy­mark, Saskatchewan on Oc­tober 15, 1934 and passed away on May 15, 2019.

She leaves a legacy of five children; Marlene, Diane, Judy, Fred and Mike, including five grandchildren and many cherished great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Betty, Jay, Tena and Susie, sisters in law Sylvia and Hilda and their families. Mom was predeceased by son Tony and brothers, Abe, Henry and John.

The family would like to thank the Carberry Care Home staff and volunteers for their compassionate care and love shown to our mom. She always loved her job and eventually her final home at CPCH.

Special Thank you to her friend Evelyn Alder­son with all letters and cards over the years. Always a highlight for her.

As per mom’s wishes, she will be laid to rest beside Tony. There will be no viewing. A graveside service was held at the MacGregor Cemetery on May 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. A memorial tea followed at the Mac­Gregor Seniors Drop-In Centre.
