Bill McVey Obituary

William (Bill) McVey February 3 1954- February 14 2019. At the age of 65 our husband, father friend left us suddenly.

He leaves behind his wife Laurie, their two children Chad (Megan) & Jodi (Jordan) His brother Scott (Dee-Lynn) and Shayne (Sarah) grandkids Shane, Brooklyn, Liam & Blake nieces Diane, Deanah, Tricia & Burke nephews Jason, Dustin & Matthew. His daughters Caulette & Candice, He is predeceased by his mother Lorraine, his step father Roger, sister Addean & brother Dale.

Bill was born in the Pas, MB moving to Minnedosa at a young age where he attended primary school. He later obtained his certificate in autobody which he perused for many years. Bill than moved on in careers and changed trades where he went and worked at kirk service as an auto mechanic.  From Kirks Bill then moved on and worked for the Town of Minnedosa until he retired at the age of 55. While working for the town he became well known and developed many friendships.  Bill volunteered with the fire department where he served for 34 years, 17 of them being the fire chief.

Bill was known for making us all have a good laugh, making us smile, and we will never forget his unforgettable silliness.  In his younger years Bill was an avid hockey player playing for the Minnedosa Bombers and as the years went on moved to the Mohawks, he also loved snowmobiling, camping, golf.  His passion was driving around Minnedosa checking up on all of us making sure that we were all taking care of the town he cared so much about.

Rest easy Billy we will miss u.
