Bryan Welbourne Obituary

Bryan Winston Welbourne passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024 at the Minnedosa Hospital. Bryan was born November 8, 1943 in Newdale Manitoba, son of Jim and Minnie. Bryan spent his childhood on the family farm. Leaving as a teen to pursue work for various farmers, at the mines in Snow Lake, studying millwright and mastering the art of heavy duty mechanics. Much of Bryan’s time was spent outdoors. You would regularly find him working on equipment, managing the yard or just sitting by a tree enjoying the sounds of nature. Some of his best memories were camping with family and friends at Sandy Lake, Clear Lake and in the Cypress Hills. In his younger years, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time hunting with Jason. In his heart, he wanted to farm. His long time dream was fulfilled when he purchased his childhood homestead and moved back to the farm he loved so much. Bryan’s retirement years were spent grain farming and raising livestock, he had a calm and gentle way of handling cattle. Bryan is survived by his son Jason, his children Madysan, Trace and Morgan and daughter Pam (Brian) Baedke and their daughter Emma. Following his wishes, interment will take place at a later date at the Newdale Cemetery. Donations in Bryan’s memory may be made to the Minnedosa Health Foundation. The family would like to thank Dr. Onyshko, the nurses and staff at the Minnedosa Hospital for their care and compassion given to Bryan.
