Clyde was born in Wellwood, MB on December 22, 1935 to Rose and George Stephenson. He was predeceased by his parents, a sisters Carol and Enid, and a brother Murray Stephenson.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, step daughter Jennifer Leigh and granddaughter Kayla Hopkins, step sons Chris Leigh and Jayson Leigh sisters Aileen Stephenson and Lillian Strain and her family, also a sister-in-law Diane Stephenson and her family of Ontario.
Clyde started his career on the railroad, trained for the RCMP and worked there briefly then decided farming and carpentry work were his future. He was a hard worker and suffered injuries because of his hard work, eventually having chronic back pain. He suffered a major heart attach in 2020 but fought hard to stay with us another two years. He loved his family, nature, animals and gardening. He was called home April 23, 2022. Interment will take place at a later date in the Carberry Plains Cemetery, Carberry, MB.
