Deborah "Debbie" Hutton Obituary

Deborah Anne (September 24, 1957 – October 18, 2021) passed away on October 18, 2021 at the Brandon General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was born on September 24, 1957 to her parents Arthur (Art) and Lorraine (Bun) Hutton. She was the youngest of their three children, following her older brothers Wilbert and Mark. Debbie grew up in Minnedosa, MB, attending elementary school and high school there. After leaving Minnedosa, Debbie lived briefly in Winnipeg, Brandon, Alexander and Forrest, before settling in Brandon, MB to raise her two children, Bart and Kelly. On January 8, 2000, Debbie married her loving husband, Dennis Pearson, and together they returned to live in their home community of Minnedosa. Debbie was a legal secretary in Brandon for more than 20 years prior to joining the Provincial Government to work in the Land Titles division, the Crown Lands division and ultimately the Justice Department. She retired from her position as a Clerk of the Court and Justice of the Peace at the Minnedosa Courthouse in 2013. Debbie was a beloved Wife, Mom and Grandma who loved watching movies, reading, gardening, travelling, walking in the outdoors and spending time with her adored puppies, Josie (predeceased) and Bella, and her family. Throughout her life she developed many friendships which she cherished deeply. Her humour, kindness and strength will be missed immensely by all who knew her. Debbie is survived by her husband, Dennis Pearson, her son, Bart Curtis and his wife, Oralee, her daughter Kelly Miller and her husband, Jordan, and her grandchildren Sidney Curtis, Lettie Curtis, Amari Stocks, Madelyn Miller and Everett Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lorraine Hutton. There will be a private graveside memorial for family and friends at the Boyd Cemetery in Bethany, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Lung Association.
