Jim Oakley Obituary

James “Jim” Dale Oakley of Minnedosa passed away April 28, 2025, at home unexpectedly at the age of 71 years. Jim loved all his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He took great pride in his steam engines from his tabletops to his half scale Gaar Scott. He was also known for his passion of the Austin Threshermen Reunion and the machines he loved so much. He fostered this love with his entire family from his children to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved tinkering in his shop fixing small engines for everyone with a legacy of 50 plus years.

He was predeceased by his mom and dad and daughter-in-law (Sara).

Surviving are his wife Shelley C. Oakley of 12 years, sister Michelle (Brian), two sons Shaun (Dana), Darin, stepson Brendon (Kate), daughter Meigan, stepdaughters Kerry (Peter), and Courtney (Matt), ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Austin Threshermen Reunion or Minnedosa Heritage Village.
