John Edward Drinkwater

Born April 2, 1946 in Midlands Birmingham England to Marjorie and James Drinkwater. He schooled at Turves Green Secondary School Birmingham England.

 Enjoyed travelling when he could. While in England he worked at Boots the Chemist for about 30 years. He met and married Margaret McConnell and eventually moved to Canada. While he did work at Neepawa Pharmacy for a number of years he eventually was hired by The Neepawa Banner where he enjoyed taking pictures and meeting people as he sold ads and helped distribute the papers. He later took up videography and worked with the NACTV for a number of years. He particularly enjoyed these jobs as one of his hobbies was photography. Some of you may remember his mantra “Just one more”.

John leaves behind his wife of 38 years Margaret, brother Phillip, nephew Paul, a number of cousins in England and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews from his wife's side of the family.
