Keith Howard

Keith Howard beloved husband of Jessica, passed away on June 21, 2026 at Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon, Manitoba, at the age of 88 years. Keith was born in Minnedosa Hospital on May 15, 1938 and was the only child of Harry and Eva Howard. Keith was raised on a farm near Rapid City. His childhood was filled with many adventures with his best friend Gerry Stanick.

Keith had a sense of humour and an infectious smile. Keith’s two passions were hockey and golf. He was a season ticket holder for forty years with the Brandon Wheat Kings. He loved his petunias and marigolds in the summer and kept a nice flower garden. Keith moved to Brandon in 1959 where he resided until his passing.

He retired at age 55 after a long career delivering fuel to local homes and farms. Keith was lucky to find love again and on June 18, 2004 he married Jessica. They had 22 years of adventures and enjoying life together. Their travels took them to Wales, England, as well as the East and West Coast of Canada and many locations in the United States. They enjoyed 8 years wintering in Osoyoos, B.C.

Keith loved talking to anyone that would listen.

As Keith’s health declined, his smile never faded. He fought a tough battle in recent years with PSP (Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy).

Keith was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Eva Howard. Keith is survived by his loving wife Jessica, four daughters from his first marriage: Wendy Martin of Elgin, Manitoba, Elaine Gonzales (Tony) of West Kelowna, B.C., Angela Deal (Dwain) of Sundre, Alberta and Alison Howard of Olds, Alberta. Keith was also blessed with four bonus daughters: Jennifer Davis (Lyle), Julie Reimer (Greg), Candace Hiebert (Bryan) and Carrie Dokken (Kevin). Keith will be remembered by his 11 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Andrew, Colette, Rebecca, Megan, Paul, Jessica, Alex, Morgan, Elizabeth, David and 9 great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Abigail, Carlos, Rafael, Isabelle, Rose, Edith, Benji and Mabel. Bonus grandchildren include: Katie, Zachary, Hanna, Huxley, Breanna ( deceased), Ty, McKenna, Scarlett, Anders and Myles. Also surviving Keith are his two cousins: Susan Harrison and James Newitt. The family would like to thank the staff at Rideau for their kind and compassionate care of Keith.

As per Keith’s wishes there will be no funeral. A private service will take place at a later date in the Rapid City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Keith’s wish is that you greet someone with a smile.
