Lois Gertrude Bugg

Lois Gertrude Bugg, née Bodkin, aged 95 years, passed away at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

            She was born January 5, 1926 to Albert and Gertrude (née Newberry) Bodkin at Napinka, Manitoba. Lois married Arthur (Art) Bugg on July 1, 1946, and they farmed south of Napinka until retiring to Melita in 1979. Lois moved to the Minnedosa Personal Care Home in 2019.

            Lois was pre-deceased by her husband Art; three children - Richard, Karen and Gary; her parents; two sisters - Grace and Lenore; and two brothers - Lorne and Eric. She is survived by daughter Holly (Jack) Wilson of Calgary; son Glen of Ottawa; daughter-in-law Vicky; five grandchildren - Michael, Rick, Karen, Brandi and Darnell; and twelve great-grandchildren - Devin, Griffin, Shelby, Tory, Keira, Lane, Tyresse, Bryson, Devon, Matt, Colby and Jeremy.

            Lois had many passions, including sewing, knitting, quilting, oil painting and gardening. She was an avid curler and golfer. With her husband Art, they travelled extensively, wandering the highways of North America.

            There will be no funeral at this time. Burial will be in Napinka Cemetery at a later date to be determined.

            In memory of Lois and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Napinka Cemetery Memorial Fund or a charity of your choosing.
