Marie Effie Wisnoski

Marie Effie Wisnoski passed away suddenly on January 28, 2025 at her home in Neepawa at the age of 87 years.

Marie was born in the RM of Rosedale. She spent her childhood on the family farm in Elk Ranch and attended the Elk Ranch School. When it came time for employment, she moved to Neepawa, where she worked as a dietary aide at the Neepawa General Hospital for approximately 30 years. Some of her duties included washing dishes, preparing vegetables and getting trays ready for the patients. 

Marie, and her good friend Iris, enjoyed many holidays together, travelling to parts of the United States, Mexico and Ukraine. They continued to keep in touch throughout the years. Marie also enjoyed regular phone calls and visits with family members. Alternating monthly phone calls became a tradition that later included her nieces.

Marie suffered with poor vision most of her life until she received a corneal transplant.  Together with corrective lenses and surgery, she was able to enjoy better vision.

Marie is pre-deceased by her parents John and Martha Wisnoski, brothers: Frank and Alex Wisnoski and sisters, Theresa Seymour, Irene Oakley and Rose Slezak.

Left to mourn her passing are her sister-in-law, Gerry Wisnoski and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
