Mary Iveh (Robinson) Kingdon passed away April 28, 2024 at the age of 92 years.
Mary was born February 18, 1932, near Bethany, Manitoba. She was the eighth of ten children
born to Agnes Elizabeth ‘Annie’ (Robertson) and Robert George Robinson. She was raised in a
farm northeast of Bethany. She attended Bethany School and enjoyed music and sports.
Mary had three children with first husband Lloyd Carter: Carol, Sheila and Terry. The family
lived in Basswood, Creighton, SK and Minnedosa.
Mary met and married John Maurice Kingdon and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together
in Minnedosa. They lived in town and farmed NW of Clanwilliam. They enjoyed time together
with family and went on many holidays with friends.
Mary worked as a Telephone Operator and in later years she worked in the Fashion House in
Minnedosa.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, sisters: Minnie, Pearl (Clifford Madill), Phoebe (Jim
Madill), Margaret (Oliver Price), Ethel (Stan Woodcock); brothers: Rob Robinson, William
Robinson, Jim Robinson (June) and Allan Robinson and her son-in-law Rick Everett, and
granddaughter Angela Everett: sister-in-law Charlotte (Stan) Oleson, Kathy (Aymer) Lundin.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice, and three children: Carol (Cal Frost), Sheila Carter,
and Terry Carter (Linda): Six grandchildren: Brent Everett (Cheryl), Charlene (Gregg Kingdon),
and Grant Everett, and Krista Carter (Nick Mahy), Adam Carter (Grace), and Bryce Carter
(Jalysa); 7 great grandchildren: Richard, Lily, Grace, Charlotte, Sophia, Oliver, and Camille.
Mary is survived by sisters-in-law Sylvia Robinson, Hazel (Bob) Jelfs and Peggy Hawes and
brothers–in-law: Erle (Alice) Kingdon and Gerry (Sandra) Kingdon.
