Ralph Laming Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ralph Dennis Laming on March 5th 2025 at the Minnedosa Personal Care Home at 86 years old.

Ralph is survived by their loving wife Rose Laming of 30 years of marriage, and her family. Ralph is also survived by his siblings Wendell Laming (Lorrie) and Mary Adamson and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph Laming was born in Basswood on the Farm to Frederick and Rebecca Laming. Ralph and Rose met in their favorite spot, the coffee shop. Ralph married Rose in April of 1994. They had a small wedding in Brandon and hence forth began life together. Ralph and Rose continued to live out their lives together in Minnedosa. Ralph had many different careers over the years. Ralph worked on his family farm eventually taking over the farm. Ralph was also a skilled carpenter and owned the Minnedosa Bowling Alley in his later years before retiring. During Ralph’s free time, he enjoyed golfing. Ralph assisted in the construction of the back 9 holes of the Minnedosa Golf Club. In earlier years, Ralph was an avid bowler, winning many tournaments and trophies. Ralph always enjoyed spending time at the coffee shop with Rose and friends. Ralph was an excellent family man and always ensured the needs of his family were met. When not spending time at the coffee shop or with family, Ralph loved to garden. Ralph had a passion for gardening which was always shown by his tomatoes and cucumbers. Your green thumb will be missed and so will your Dill Pickles.

Ralph Laming was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Rebecca Laming, Kenneth Laming, Linda Jackson, Margaret Vancaselle, Doreen Lochhead, Beatrice Brown, and Barbara Wade.

A private family funeral will take place in his honor.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Minnedosa Personal Care Home for their compassion and kindness shown during this difficult time and throughout Ralph Laming’s time there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph’s name to Minnedosa Personal Care Home.
