Ruby Beaumont Obituary

Ruby Pearl (Gunderson) Beaumont
August 18, 1937- March 30, 2022

Ruby was born to parents Joseph and Olga Gunderson, August 18th, 1937 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan.

She graduated from University of Saskatchewan School of Nursing in 1959 and worked in Melfort and Nipawin.

Ruby married Dolever Douglas Beaumont in 1962 on their mutually shared birthday, creating what will forever be known as “Doug and Ruby's Annibirthary”.

In 1966, Ruby and Doug relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba to pursue Doug's career as a commercial airline pilot and raise their family for 23 years.

After Doug's retirement from the airlines in 1985, Ruby and Doug returned to their farming roots, building a quiet life on the family farm,  South of Eden, Manitoba.
In 2017, Ruby made the decision to leave her beloved farm and return full-circle to Saskatchewan.

She spent her final years, supported, loved and greatly enjoyed by family in Kipling, Saskatchewan.

Ruby was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. There was no greater joy for Ruby then when she was preparing the holiday meals, knowing she would have a houseful.

If it wasn't the holidays and family, Ruby was just as pleased to visit over coffee and butter tarts with a neighbour.
Ruby had a very special place in her heart for anything with fur and feathers. Whether it was her dogs, cats, chickens, horses, rabbits or a very old goose, Ruby took an extra special joy taking care of her critters.

Ruby is survived by three children: Brian ( wife Amanda) of Yuma, Arizona ; Mark of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Joanne of Kipling, Saskatchewan.
She left a legacy with seven grandchildren: Hannah, Liam, Emily (Brian): Michael (Mark); Shastan, Summer, Trevor (Joanne) and three great-grandchildren; Everleigh, Emma (Summer); Greyson (Trevor) .

Ruby will be greatly missed by cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends who were just like family.
Ruby was predeceased by her loving husband in 2008; her father Joe in 1962; her mother Olga in 1976 and her brother and only sibling, Orval in 2000

Ruby's deep, lifelong faith in the Lord Jesus carried her through many challenges and trials and the family has a profound comfort knowing she is now free, whole and at peace with Him..
Her warmth, thoughtfulness and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ruby will be laid to rest , next to Doug in Neepawa, Thursday, August 18th at 1 pm.
