Shirley Doreen Cowan

Shirley Doreen Cowan (nee Burke) passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on May 1st, 2019 at the age of 78 years. She was born on October 5th, 1940 near Tillsonburg, Ontario. Shirley will be greatly missed by her husband Hugh of 61 years, son Craig, daughter Tina MacKay (Craig) and the light of her life granddaughter Izabella MacKay. She is survived by sisters RoseMarie Newstead of Paris, Ontario, Nancy Bartlett (Bob) of Brantford, Ontario and brother Jimmy (Debbie) of Blind River, Ontario. She was predeceased by son Martin James Cowan in 1965; parents Carl Robert Burke Sr. in 2003 and Jessie Beryl Cudney in 2001; sisters Beryl Lundy in 1999, Marylee Burke in 1939, brother Carl Robert Jr. in 1997. Service will be held in Brandon, Manitoba at First Baptist Church at 3881 Park Ave. on Friday, May 17th at 2:00 and Waterford, Ontario (pending), burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, Ontario.
