Virginia Margaret Mercer
1927-2024 (97)
The family of Virginia Mercer are saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at Country Meadows PCH in Neepawa, MB.
Virginia (nee Pahl) was born in Chicago, Il on March 28, 1927 and came to Canada with her family. She spent most of her life in the Plumas and Neepawa areas.
Virginia was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred Macks, and by her second husband Jim Mercer. She is also predeceased by her sister, Betty Halm, and three brothers, Howard, Don and Herb. She is survived by her sister Annette Lehmann of Brooks, AB and by numerous step-children, nieces, nephews and friends.
Virginia was a wonderful caring lady, very humble and always happy. She worked extremely hard over the years and was never one to complain! She appreciated every little thing! She was quick to smile with a twinkle in her eye. We loved her dearly!
Many thanks to the staff at Country Meadows and all who made Virginia’s life more comfortable in recent years. Thank you to Pastor Vosper and those who visited her at the nursing home.
No funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place at the Plumas Cemetery.
