Walter Michael Sichewski

Walter M. Sichewski, 80, of Erickson, Manitoba, passed away at the Minnedosa hospital, on January 1st, 2020, after a short illness. Walter was born in Lake Audy, Manitoba, on June 16, 1939, son of the late Nicholas and Annie Sichewski. He was predeceased by his twin sister Jean in 1939, sister Alice in 1942, his father Nicholas (Nick) in 1970, his brother in law Dan Ewasiuk in 1975, his mother Annie in 1984, and sister Florence Satz of Stony Plain, Alberta in 2012. He is survived by sister Carol Ewasiuk of Erickson, Manitoba. Sister Rose (Harvey) Walker of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Brother Rudy (Judy) Sichewski of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and great great niece and nephews. Walter grew up on the family farm at Lake Audy, Manitoba. Where he went to school. He worked the farm with his father. When Nick took a job at Rivers Airforce base, Walter was the one running the day to day duties on the farm. He could be seen helping neighbors with haying and harvesting in the fall. Then as things slowed on the farm he went to work for Parks Canada as a seasonal worker. After retirement he stayed on the farm, till the weather and health issues forced him to move to Erickson. A service of life and interment will be held at a later date.
